What a fire shutter does

It closes the opening the moment the alarm trips, so the fire stays on one side of the wall while people get out.

Closes on its own

Connected to your fire alarm or released by a fusible link, the curtain drops automatically. Nobody has to be in the room, and there is no manual step to forget.

Holds the line for the rated time

Labels from 45 minutes to 4 hours let you match the separation your building code calls for. The label on the shutter is what the inspector reads.

Disappears when open

The curtain rolls into a compact housing above the opening. Counters, kitchens and corridors stay clear and usable every other day of the year.

Where they are required

Commercial kitchens and serveries, food courts and cafeterias, concession and reception counters, parking garage openings, school and hospital corridors, warehouse pass-throughs, and any opening in a rated wall. If your permit file or fire inspector has flagged an opening, this is the product that closes the item.

Inspection, drop test and repair

Already have fire shutters? We service them too: annual drop tests, fusible link replacement, motor and release repairs, and the documentation that proves the test was done. Call with the make and the opening size and we will quote the visit.
